Chairman Solmes called the regular meeting of the Barry County Road Commission to order at the Road Commission’s Board Room at 7:30 A.M.

Motion was made by Commissioner Fiala and seconded to a approve a 2.50% raise to the Non-Association regular full time employees to coincide with what the Association Employees received in their contract and the Board also approved the updated Pay Schedule. All applicable benefits of the current Barry County Road Commission Employees’ Association contract will also apply to the Non-Association regular full time employees of the Barry County Road Commission with the exception of Line 8 under Schedule A.

Motion was made by Commissioner Fiala and seconded to set the bid date for the sale of eleven Pick-Up Trucks to be on June 13, 2024 at 10:30 A.M. and the minimum price to be set by management.

Managing Director Jake Welch spoke to the Board about Drain Assessments. Mr. Welch would like to have a letter of understanding written up with the County of Barry, Barry County Drain Commission, and the Barry County Road Commission. This will be discussed at a future Board Meeting.

A new Mastic Trial was put on Martin Road south of Brown Road. The Engineering Department will watch this section of road over time and see how the road handles it.
Motion was made by Commissioner Fiala and seconded for the purchase of eight (8) doors and frames and an access control system for the security gates and doors from S.A. Morman. Quoted price $149,695.
