By motion of Maple Grove Township Board, it was approved to spend $40,000.00 on gravel road improvement/maintenance for the 2017 summer, to be divided at road commission digression. Also approved was the $756 paved road marking.

Motion was made and seconded to sign the contract with Scott Civil Engineering Company for engineering services to do the Biennial Bridge Inspections. A cost of $188.00 for each bridge inspection and $150.00 for each streambed cross-sections per bridge will be paid.

Now Comes, the Barry County Road Commission, by Frank Fiala its Chairman and David Solmes its Vice Chairman and state as follows:
- That the Barry County Road Commission obtained a Permanent Easement from Robert A. Conklin as a result of that certain Permanent Easements agreement signed on May 17, 2017 as recorded in Barry County Record #2017-005115, granting the Barry County Road Commission an easement over the following described property:
A strip of land 10 feet wide, 100 feet long lying south of and adjacent to the south right of way line of Lawrence Road, commencing at the NE corner of section 15, thence south 33 ft to the south right of way line, thence west 1075 ft along the south right of way line to the POB thence south 10 ft, thence west 100 ft, thence north 10 ft, thence east 100 ft to the POB.
- That said easement crosses the property of Robert A. Conklin whose real property is more fully described as follows:
NE ¼ NE ¼ SECT 15-T2N-R8W, EX COM AT NW COR THEREOF FOR POB; TH E 66 FT, TH S 320 FT, TH E 154 FT, TH S 220 FT, TH W 220 FT, TH N 540 FT TO POB. EX COM AT NE COR SEC 15 T2N R8W, TH W 492 FT FOR POB; TH S 231 FT, TH W 220 FT, TH N 231 FT, TH E 220 FT TO POB. 36.8 ACRES+/-

Motion was made and seconded authorizing Managing Director Bradley S. Lamberg to sign letter to vacate channel in Supervisor’s Plat No. 1 of Long Point in Prairieville Township.
The undersigned acknowledges receipt of a Summons and Complaint seeking to vacate a platted channel that is more specifically described in the Complaint (the “Channel”). The undersigned does not oppose the relief sought by the Complaint, and hereby consents to the entry of a Judgment vacating the Channel, without further notice to the undersigned, provided that such Judgment (1) does not subject the undersigned to any liability (for the payment of money or otherwise); and (2) does not affect any interest that the undersigned holds in any real property, other than the interest the undersigned has, if any, in the Channel, as described in the Complaint. The undersigned represents that he/she has full authority act on behalf of and bind the Barry County Road Commission.

A request was made to close Otis Lake Road between Keller Road and Guernsey Lake Road due to a fireworks show and the concern that people would stop at the curves to watch the fireworks on Guernsey Lake.
Motion was made and seconded to allow use of four barricades (two at each end) and that the Road Commission will deliver and pick them up. Permission to close Otis Lake Road is contingent upon getting law enforcement or a fire department to man the barricades on each end.
