The Barry County Road Commission has an excellent opportunity for a Road Worker! We are seeking skilled, qualified applicants to fill the position. Preferred applicants would have 2+ years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, a Michigan Commercial Driver’s License with A&N endorsements & current Medical Card. This is a full-time position with a starting pay rate of $26.63/hour and a competitive benefits package. A valid Michigan Driver’s license, a criminal background check, and a pre-employment drug screen are required. ![]()

BCRC crews will be out tomorrow at 4am to clear the roadways again. A HUGE “Thank You” to Tripp, Tagg, & Storrs and @kloostermanssportstap for hooking up all of our hard working Road Warriors & Mechanics with a Famous Kloosterman’s Fried Chicken Dinner!!! Barry County is such an amazing community!

BCRC crews will be out tomorrow morning at 4am. With projected temps over the next week or so, salt will be much less effective than normal. We will treat roads with heavy sand mixes to assist with traction until temps allow for melting material off of the roadways. Please drive safely.
Our crews work an extremely long day today. They will be back on the roads at 4am tomorrow. With additional snow coming down in many areas of the County and blowing snow prevalent throughout the County particularly North-South roads are drifting quickly. Use extreme caution as entire road lanes can blow closed and white-out conditions persist in much of the County.
