Roadside Mowing

This consists of mowing all grass and vegetation along the edge of the road, generally with a tractor and a side mounted mower, all the way to the ditch line (six to ten feet), not only for aesthetics, but to allow water to run off of the road and into ditches easily.

Residents are encouraged to mow and maintain their own ditches and roadsides since it takes awhile for County crews to make a full round through the County. During most years, mowing crews make two rounds through all primary road areas.
