The regular meeting of the Barry County Road Commission was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chairman Willcutt.

 

Members present:  Willcutt, Pashby, Dykstra, and Managing Director Brad Lamberg.

 

The agenda for January 27, 2004 was approved.

 

The minutes of January 13, 2004 was approved as read by the Secretary.

 

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra to approve the payroll for payment.

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra to accept Robert Slocum’s letter of retirement effective March 19, 2004 with deep regret.

Kim Bender with the Wayland Snowmobile Association presented a list of roads in Barry County that snowmobiles travel or cross on marked approved state trails.  Also funding was talked about for a bridge on Crane Road.

 

Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby to change to Priority Health Plan POS #2, 10/40 for active employees and qualifying Non-Medicare retirees.

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra that the future opening slots with Priority Health for Non-Medicare retirees be filled on a seniority basis (ties broken by lottery).

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra that Association and Non-Association groups will stay together as a single group for health insurance purposes.

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra to change to Professional Benefit Services for Medicare retirees Plan F with $500 deductible.

Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby to switch to Marsh & McLennan Companies as the Barry County Road Commissioner health care consultant.
