The regular meeting of the Barry County Road Commission was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chairman Willcutt.

Members present: Willcutt, Pashby, Dykstra, and Managing Director Brad Lamberg.

The agenda for February 21, 2003 was accepted as presented.

The minutes of February 11, 2003 was accepted as read by the Secretary.

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra to approve the payroll for payment.

Coats Grove, Welcome Centerline Paint 720.00

Willitts, Welcome Edgeline Paint 860.00

Lower Lake Road Clear and Gravel 27,000.00

Dust Control 26% (2 applications) 25,854.00

Mowing Second time 1,647.00

The gravel will be discussed after the Road Tour. If there are any changes, please let us know.

Hope Resolution:

At the January 13, 2003 Hope Township Board of Trustees meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the following of our Hope Township 2003 road projects.

1. Paving Lammers Road 900 ft north of Dowling Road at a cost of $20,500.00

At the February 10, 2003 Hope Township Board of Trustees meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the following additional items:

1. Two chloride applications (38% solution) at a cost of $34,384.00.

2. Head Lake Road slag seal, M-43 to Wilkins at a cost of $10,500.00.

3. Lakeview slurry seal, Harrington to private road at a cost of $4,800.00.

4. Harrington slurry seal, Eddy to Lakeview at a cost of $5,600.00.

5. Pavement markings as needed at a cost of $3,850.00.

6. Beachwood slurry seal west of Eddy at a cost of $6,200.00.

We will approve the Gravel amount after we have our Gravel Road Tour.

Bob Cotant from Sager Road discussed driveway permit that had been denied him.

Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby authorizing the Board to sign TEA-21 Reauthorization Project letter to Representative Ehlers.

Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby giving temporary employee Tom Burghdoff a raise to $12.00 per hour while doing mechanic work effective February 21, 2003.

Motion by Commissioner Willcutt seconded by Commissioner Dykstra that retiree premiums due the Road Commission for the current month health insurance will be due by no later then the 1^st of the next month. Insurance coverage will be dropped if premium is delinquent.
