The regular meeting of the Barry County Road Commission was called to order at 9:00 A.M. by Chairman Willcutt.
Members present: Willcutt, Dykstra, Pashby, and Engineer-Manager Brad Lamberg.
The minutes of February 26, 2002 was accepted as read by the Secretary.
Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby to approve the payroll for payment.

Bob Slocum and Tom Chaffee discussed with the Board lease purchase of a Bobcat.
Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby to authorize a 6-month lease purchase agreement with Carleton Equipment Company for a Bobcat T200.

William Blackmore, Orangeville Township, talked with the Board about Counts Curve options.
Mark Boles discussed his bid for Whitneyville Road grading with the Board. Because of numerous math mistakes he would like to withdraw his bid.
Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby to allow Boles Excavating to withdraw their bid for the Whitneyville Road grading project without any penalty.

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra to take the Whitneyville Road grading bids off the table and award bid to Brenner Excavating and sign contract. Necessary performance and lien bonds for 100% of the total contract price are due within 15 days of notice of award.
