The regular meeting of the Barry County Road Commission was called to order by Commissioner Willcutt at 9:00 A.M.
Members present: Willcutt, Dykstra, Pashby, and Engineer-Manager Brad Lamberg.
Minutes of the January 2, 2001 meeting was read by the Secretary and accepted by the Board.

Steve Bare with the NRCS talked with the Board about the Thornapple River Floodplain inventory.
Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra to give support to the Thornapple River Floodplain inventory in the amount of $3,000 when it is asked for in the future.

Motion by Commissioner Pashby seconded by Commissioner Dykstra authorizing Baltimore Township to pay for their portion of the Dowling Road Project at $16,000 for 2 years if the Township can’t do it any other way.

Motion by Commissioner Dykstra seconded by Commissioner Pashby to authorize seasonal/temporary help rate of pay to be $7.00 per hour plus 50¢ for every consecutive year they work for the Road Commission. This is retroactive to 5/1/99.

At the January 8, 2001 Hope Township regular meeting of the Board of Trustee, the members voted to approve your recommendation to place a full seal on both sections of Cedar Creek Road, and including the Dowling Road hill approach project. We need an estimate on the Dowling Road hill project.
Also approved, the application of chloride on all Hope Township gravel roads, as per your recommendation. Thank you.
