Plowing Update & a Helpful Hint

Our crews will be out in full force at 4 am tomorrow, 1/6/15.

HELPFUL HINT:

As temperatures fall salt becomes less effective at melting snow and ice.  Below 15 degrees salt has little to no melting ability.  The next time you place salt on your driveway, try mixing the salt with a course grain sand.  This helps spread your salt reserve further and the sand grit gives some amount of traction on the frozen ice until temps allow for the salt to work its magic.  That’s what we do on your roads!!!
